Graduate Architect - 3 year Fixed Term Contract - Closing Date Tuesday 21st July 2026

The Position:

Limerick City and County Council is establishing a panel for Graduate Architect.

The successful candidate will join a well-established multidisciplinary team with responsibility for designing and managing construction and other ancillary works required for the successful development of the City and the County of Limerick.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proficiency in CAD and BIM software Strong such as AutoCAD and Revit;
  • A sound understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations;
  • Experience in preparing accurate construction documents and detailed architectural drawings;
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to support early-stage design; 
  • An interest in contributing to efficient project delivery and strengthening in-house architectural expertise within the local authority;
  • Analytical, research and report-writing skills;
  •  Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team;
  • Good organisational and time-management skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines;
  • A proactive mindset and ability to use initiative;
  • Full Class B driving licence.

The working hours at present provide for a five day, thirty five hours working week, hours may vary from time to time.
