Private Regulated Water Supply - Register with Limerick City and County Council

If your water supply is from a private source, i.e. borehole or river, and supplies over 50 persons or more than 10 cubic metres per day, or has a commercial or public interestthis is deemed a Private Regulated Water Supply.

Private Water Suppliers are required to produce water that is wholesome and clean and meets the requirements of the 2014 Drinking Water Regulations.

Limerick City and County Council is the supervisory authority for Private Regulated Water Supplies in the Limerick area and has responsibility for ensuring that Private Regulated Water Suppliers fulfil their duties as specified in the regulations.

All Private Regulated Water Supplies must be registered with Limerick City and County Council. This can be done by completing the attached form and returning it by email to ruralwater@limerick.ie or post to;
