Vacant Sites

On January 1st 2017, Limerick City and County Council established a vacant sites register in accordance with the requirements of the Urban Regeneration and Housing Act 2015.

The purpose of the register is to identify vacant sites within the functional area of Limerick City and County Council in accordance with the requirements of the act. Sites entered on the register will be subject to the vacant site levy provisions introduced under the act.

Limerick City and County Council has been reviewing, and continues to review sites across the city and county. Where the Council is satisfied that a site conforms with the requirements of the legislation, these property owners have been notified and the site(s) have been entered onto the Vacant Sites Register. For more information about the Urban Regeneration and Housing Act 2015, click here.
