Volume 3 outlines Limerick’s Architectural Conservation Areas (ACA). An ACA is a place, area, group of structures or townscape that is of special architectural, historical, archaeological, technical, social, cultural, or scientific, interest, or that contributes to the appreciation of a Protected Structure. The Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) provides the legislative basis for the protection of ACAs.
This volume includes the documents informing the preparation of the Draft Plan in accordance with environmental legislation, including a Strategic Environmental Assessment, Natura Impact Report and Strategic Flood Risk Assessment.
