Local Area Plan - Rathkeale

The Rathkeale Local Area Plan is a legal document and is a public statement of planning policies. It is valid for six years from the date of adoption by the Council.

Pursuant to Section 20 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (amended) notice is hereby given that Limerick City and County Council being the Planning Authority for the area, has prepared a Proposed Local Area Plan (LAP) for Rathkeale.

A copy of these documents may be inspected from 18 June 2022 - 2 of August 2022 inclusive, excluding Bank Holidays at the following locations:

  • Corporate Head Quarters, Merchant’s Quay, Limerick
  • Rathkeale Library, Rathkeale
  • Adare Library, Adare
  • County Hall, Dooradoyle Road, Limerick
  • Dooradoyle Library, Dooradoyle

Public Information Evening - Wednesday 29th June

Members of the public and interest groups are invited to attend a drop-in public information evening on Wednesday 29th June 2022 between 3pm - 7pm, in the Rathkeale Community Centre

The Proposed Plan and associated environmental reports will be on display from Saturday 18th June to Tuesday 2nd August 2022 inclusive. Any objections or representations with respect to the Proposed Local Area Plan for Rathkeale or associated documents can be made in writing, to the Forward Planning, Economic Development and Enterprise Directorate, Limerick City and County Council, Merchants Quay, Limerick, online at mypoint.limerick.ie or emailed to forwardplanning@limerick.ie and received before close of business on Tuesday 2nd August 2022 will be taken into consideration before the Local Area Plan is made.
