Limerick Civic Amenity Centres

Limerick City and County Council own three Civic Amenity Centres in Limerick which are operated under contract.

Limerick City and County Council hereby gives notice of increased opening hours from March 1st, 2026 at the following Civic Amenity Sites, Mungret and Kilmallock as follows:

  • Monday 10am - 5pm, last entry at 4.45pm

  • Tuesday 10am - 5pm, last entry at 4.45pm

  • Wednesday 10am - 5pm, last entry at 4.45pm

  • Thursday 10am - 8pm, last entry at 7.45pm

  • Friday 10am - 8pm, last entry at 7.45pm

  • Saturday 10am - 5pm, last entry at 4.45pm

Kilmallock Civic Amenity Opening Hours

Note** There is a limit of 10 litres for engine and cooking oil.

Larger quantities of the above items are accepted and additional charges apply as follows:

  • Engine Oil - €1 per litre      
  • Cooking Oil - €0.50 per litre
  • Oil Filters - €2 per litre

The above charges only apply when you exceed the limits per customer.

Bulky goods are accepted for disposal at all three sites.
