PAWS (Pets Are Welcome), Limerick City and County Council’s Pet‑Friendly Business Initiative, is a programme designed to support local retailers and enhance the experience of pet owners across the city and county.
The initiative invites cafés, shops, and service providers to display official 'Pet-Friendly Limerick' stickers in their windows, signalling to customers that pets are welcome.
This low-cost, high-visibility initiative aims to foster a more inclusive and vibrant experience for residents and visitors alike.
Supported by Limerick City and County Council, the initiative aims to strengthen community ties, support small businesses, and enhance the city and county’s appeal to pet owners.
Businesses can collect their free official Pet-Friendly stickers from any of the following Limerick City and County Council offices:
- Merchant’s Quay
- Dooradoyle
- Newcastle West
- Kilmallock
- Rathkeale
