Limerick City and County Council advises motorists and road users that essential repair works will take place in the Limerick Tunnel on Thursday, 8 October, requiring overnight traffic management measures from 7:30pm to 6:00am.To facilitate these essential repairs, an overnight single-lane, two-way contra-flow traffic operation will be in place within the tunnel.
- The Clonmacken access road to the tunnel will also be closed during these works.
- Traffic travelling from Caherdavin to the N18 will be diverted via Limerick City Centre.
- Abnormal loads will be restricted from using the tunnel for the duration of the works.
Limerick City and County Council regrets any inconvenience caused and thanks road users for their cooperation while these essential repair works are carried out.
