Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 38 (3) of the Road Traffic Act 1994, as amended by the Public Transportation Regulation Act, 2009 (Section 46), Limerick City & County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to introduce the following road layout amendments on the L6078 Carrigkerry National School, Carrigkerry, Co. Limerick:
- Installation of a Raised Pedestrian Crossing at Carrigkerry National School.
- Installation of a Speed Ramp to the south of Carrigkerry National School.
- Installation of appropriate Road Markings and Traffic Signage.
The works will involve the construction and installation of a Raised Pedestrian Crossing on the L6078 at the entrance to the playground north of Carrigkerry National School and the construction and installation of a Speed Ramp to the south of Carrigkerry National School with appropriate road markings and signage.
Drawings and particulars of the proposed project are available for inspection at Newcastle West Area Office, Aras William Smith O Brien, Gortboy, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick (V42 EH73) and Limerick City and County Council, Dooradoyle Rd, Dooradoyle, Limerick, (V94 WV78) and may be inspected during normal office hours 9am to 5pm from Wednesday 16th September 2026 to Wednesday 14th October 2026 inclusive. They are also available for inspection online during the above timeframe at https://mypoint.limerick.ie
Submissions or observations regarding the proposal may be made in writing to the above offices or online at https://mypoint.limerick.ie on or before 5pm, on Wednesday 14th of October 2026.
