In accordance with Part XVI of the Planning and Development Act 2024, as amended, Limerick City and County Council herby gives notice that it intends to hold the following event, Christmas in Limerick - Light Up Limerick Procession, on Saturday 21st November 2026.
The attendance at this event will not exceed 18,000.
The event will commence at 19:30pm on the 21st of November 2026 and finish at 22:30 on the 21st of November 2026.
A full schedule of road closures will issue prior to the event.
The proposal including a Draft Event Management Plan may be inspected during office hours at Limerick City and County Council, Merchant’s Quay, Limerick, V94 EH90 or at the Limerick City and County Council Planning Department, County Hall, Dooradoyle, Limerick V94 WV78 for a period of five weeks commencing on the 24/09/2026.
Submissions or observations in respect of the proposal may be made to Limerick City and County Council on, or before, the 29/10/2026.
