Extinguishment Of Public Right Of Way At Ballysteen, Co Limerick

Notice is hereby given that Limerick City and County Council in pursuance of Section 73 of the Roads Act, 1993 proposes to make an order extinguishing a public right of way on a section of the L-12013 Local Road, extending from the entrance gate to Ballysteen House to the main house at Ballysteen House, within the townlands of Ballysteen and Ballycanauna, County Limerick, over a distance of approximately 774 metres, as indicated on the map available for public inspection.

A Map showing the public right of way to be extinguished may be inspected during normal opening hours for a period of one month from the date of publication of this notice, (until Tuesday, 8th September 2026) at the following locations:

  • Limerick City and County Council, Roads, Transportation, Mobility & Public Realm, County Hall, Dooradoyle Road, Limerick, V94 WV78

And

  • Rathkeale Municipal District Office, New Line Road, Rathkeale, Co Limerick, V94 HK1V

Objections/Submissions or representations may be made in writing to the  Senior Executive Engineer, Limerick City and County Council, New Line Road, Rathkeale, Co Limerick, V94 HK1V or by email to roads@Limerick.ie  on or before 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 22nd September 2026.

Any person making an objection or representation within the foregoing period may make a request, in writing to state their case at an oral hearing to be conducted by a person appointed by the said Council for that purpose.
