Walls of Limerick: Mural Project Seeks Interest from Property Owners

  • Dodo Reddan Mural

Limerick City and County Council is inviting property owners across Limerick City and County to express their interest in making external, publicly visible walls available for future mural projects.

Building on the success of Limerick’s celebrated Street Art Trail and the international attention it has received in recent years, we are seeking to expand the number of “Walls of Limerick” available for creative use.

Our aim is to support more largescale artworks that celebrate the city and county’s unique stories, heritage, communities, and upcoming cultural events.

Limerick has long been renowned for its vibrant street art, which has become a distinctive feature of our streetscape and a powerful expression of local identity. These murals have not only brightened our urban spaces but have also acted as cultural touchpoints - attracting visitors, supporting artists, and fostering pride among residents.

We are now looking for additional walls - large or small - that could become part of the next chapter of Limerick’s public art journey. Property owners, businesses, community groups, and organisations with suitable exterior walls that are visible from public areas are encouraged to get in touch.

By participating, property owners can:

  • Support local and visiting artists

  • Enhance public spaces in their community

  • Contribute to Limerick’s cultural and tourism offering

  • Play a role in visually celebrating our region’s heritage and future

This expression of interest phase will help the Council identify suitable locations and match them with upcoming mural and cultural projects throughout 2026 and beyond.

How to Express Interest:
