Thousands of supporters turned Limerick City’s Pery Square into a sea of green and white as Limerick's All-Ireland Senior Hurling Champions received a rapturous homecoming following their victory over Galway at Croke Park.
The hurlers and management team were in fine voice as they sang and danced the evening away and paid tribute to the supporters who were with them all the way to the final whistle, securing a sixth All-Ireland title in nine seasons and bringing the Liam MacCarthy Cup back to Limerick for the first time since 2023.

The Homecoming celebration, in a packed Georgian Quarter, was hosted by Limerick GAA and Limerick City and County Council following another unforgettable All-Ireland triumph that has further cemented this Limerick team among the greatest sides ever to play the game.
One of the loudest ovations of the evening came as captain Cian Lynch proudly raised the Liam MacCarthy Cup on stage, marking another unforgettable chapter in Limerick's remarkable hurling story.
Other silverware won by the Limerick senior hurlers during the season was also paraded before the crowd, including the Munster Senior Hurling Championship trophy, the Allianz National Hurling League trophy and the Munster GAA Hurling League trophy. They were joined by the Irish Press Cup, presented to the Limerick minor hurlers following their victory in the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship.
The celebrations also honoured Limerick's All-Ireland Minor Hurling Champions, whose appearance on stage highlighted an exceptional year for hurling in the county and underlined the bright future of the game in Limerick.
On Sunday, thousands of supporters had gathered in the very same location for a live screening of the All-Ireland Final, creating a carnival atmosphere in the heart of Limerick as families, friends and visitors came together to cheer on the team.

"This has been a truly unforgettable few days for Limerick. On Sunday, thousands of supporters came together in Pery Square to cheer on the team as one community, and last night the supporters gathered in even greater numbers to welcome our champions home.
“The atmosphere across both days has been extraordinary and has once again shown the pride, passion and unity that hurling brings to our city and county. It was also wonderful to celebrate our All-Ireland Minor Champions, whose success shows that the future of hurling in Limerick is in very safe hands."
