Storm Ophelia – Update 17h00 – Power Outages

Limerick City and County Council is advising people to contact ESB Networks if their power is out.

ESB Networks should be contacted on 1850 372 999 or log on to www.esb.ieand chick on the Powercheck page.

Crews will be working as fast as they possibly can to restore power.

Limerick City and County Council has been advised that the following areas are without power and this in turn may impact on water services in:

Athlacca, Bruree, Pallasgreen, Rockhill, Martinstown, Kilteely, Hospital, Castletown-Ballyagran, Bruff, Herbertstown, Galbally, Doon, Carrigmore, Fedamore, Anglesboro, Knocklong, Croom.

Please check on older and more vulnerable neighbours and friends to see if they are OK.

Remember to drive with extreme caution as there may be fallen trees on roads, and power cables made be downed.

Staff in Limerick City and County Council Customer Services department will continue to deal with your calls after 5pm.

Please understand that staff will be unable to attend during the RED alert as Limerick City and County Council has a duty of care to its staff and will not be putting their safety at risk.

Crews will begin the massive cleanup operation at first light tomorrow morning.
