Storm Ellen will track over Ireland tonight, Wednesday 19th August and tomorrow, Thursday 20th August bringing a period of severe and potentially damaging winds.
Associated heavy rain will also bring a risk of flooding.
Met Eireann has issued an orange weather warning for Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Waterford.
Due to the combination of storm surge, spring tides and onshore winds there is a potential risk of localised flooding and flash floods in Limerick.
Visitors/Tourists in Limerick who are camping are advised to make alternative arrangements this evening.
The weather warning is valid from 9pm tonight Wednesday 19th August 2020 and is valid until 12 noon on Thursday, 20th August 2020.
