Mayor opens online book of condolence for victims of Christchurch, New Zealand terror attack

An online Book of Condolence has been opened by the Mayor of the City and County of Limerick, Cllr James Collins for victims of the shootings in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Mayor James Collins said the thoughts and prayers of the people of Limerick are with those who were injured and with the families of those who were killed in the Christchurch attack.

“On behalf of the people of Limerick I would like to offer my condolences to the families of those who have lost loved ones in the Christchurch tragedy.”

“It is impossible to comprehend the shock and devastation being experienced by the people in Christchurch as a result of the attack.”

“I hope this attack will not damage their spirit, friendliness and welcoming nature.”

“As a mark of respect I have instructed that an online book of condolence be opened by Limerick City and County Council,” the Mayor added.
