Mayor of Limerick opens online book of condolence for Queen Elizabeth II

The Mayor of the City and County of Limerick Cllr Francis Foley has opened an online Book of Condolence for the citizens of Limerick to extend their sympathies on the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Book of Condolence is open online from today (Friday 09 September) for one week. All messages of sympathy will be printed and forwarded in a Book of Condolence to the British Royal Family.

Mayor Francis Foley said:

“On behalf of the people of Limerick, I would like to extend my sympathies to the British Royal family and the British people on the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

"She dedicated her life to public service and was respected around the world for her sense of duty and service, something we may never witness again.

"Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis.”

The Book of Condolence is available on Limerick.ie.

The Irish flag is flying at half-mast at Council Headquarters in Merchant’s Quay, following a request by the Government.
