Culture Night will take place on Friday September 22nd for 2023 so it’s time to start planning our events and activities for the Limerick region! Limerick Arts Office are asking for arts and cultural organisations to submit proposals for events. Proposals could be for individual events or collaborations and could be hosted individually or as part of a series of culture hubs across the city and county. Collaborations can be associated with one or more other groups.
Culture Night is always great fun and offers the perfect opportunity for us as a region to showcase the wealth of culture that Limerick has to offer. It is a night to celebrate the cultural, artistic and creative communities of our city and county by inviting existing and new audiences into our galleries, museums, workshops and studios, as well as animating our public spaces.
We are confident that the Limerick Culture and Arts community will respond to this call out with enthusiasm and innovation and Culture Night 2023 will be one to remember.
Eligibility
One of the key aspects of Culture Night is that events are planned to ensure that activities and venues are accessible to all members of the public, and are cognisant of equality, diversity, and inclusion of performers, organisers, and audience.
All activities are to be made available free of charge and this year we would encourage events beginning later into the evening and continuing into the night. For 2023 we request that live events, where practicable are pre-booked and ticketed or that information is collected on the door of the event to ensure accurate reporting of attendance.
How your proposal will be processed
- STEP 1: Please complete the form and support documents at your earliest convenience to:https://submit.link/1P9 and before the deadline 4pm, Friday 30th June 2023. Any queries to artsofficesubmissions@limerick.ie
- STEP 2: If your proposal meets the above criteria it will then be considered for grant support.
- STEP 3: We will contact you with the outcome of your application by email.
Expressions of interest for grant support are requested as part of the application form. The average grant for Culture Night is €150 and approximately 40-60 events will be supported. It may not be possible to accommodate all requests for support should applicants exceed this. In exceptional circumstances a larger grant may be made where the applicant demonstrates exceptional need.
