Excitement is building across the globe as football fans prepare for one of the biggest sporting events in the world, the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final.

Following on from Limerick’s clash with Galway in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final earlier that day, Limerick City and County Council will host a free family-friendly FIFA World Cup Final Watch Party at Pery Square. Supporters and football fanatics can come together to watch the biggest match in world football on the big screen.

Whether you're backing Spain or Argentina, Messi or Yamal, or simply looking forward to experiencing the drama and excitement of the World Cup showpiece, the event will give fans the chance to enjoy the atmosphere together in the heart of the city's Georgian Quarter.

Pery Square has previously attracted large crowds for major sporting screenings, bringing people together to celebrate and share unforgettable moments. The FIFA World Cup Final Watch Party promises to do the same, creating a vibrant fan experience in the heart of Limerick as football supporters gather to witness history on the world stage.
