Have your say on traffic management plans for Abbeyfeale

Limerick City and County Council has drawn up plans for a new traffic management system in Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick. As part of the process, the Council is now looking for your views on the proposals.

A public information day is being held in Leens Hotel, The Square, Abbeyfeale on Thursday 18 January 2018 from 12 noon until 8pm.

Officials from Limerick City and County Council and staff from the consultants will be on hand throughout the day to go through the plans with you and to take any of your questions.

Among the proposals are:

  • ​Modified traffic lane widths along the N21 within Abbeyfeale town centre with revised parking layout.
  • New traffic signals at the Main Street/ Church Street and Main Street/ Colbert Terrace junctions with controlled pedestrian crossings.
  • Realignment of the junction at Main Street/ St. Ita’s Road.
  • Upgrade of mini roundabout junction at Colbert Terrace/ Tesco.
  • Development of a pedestrian link between Main Street and Grove Crescent public car park.
  • New coach parking and set downs areas

As this is a statutory process, all submissions or observations must be made in writing to The Planning and Environmental Services Department, Limerick City and County Council, Dooradoyle, Limerick V94 WV78 on or before 4pm on Thursday 8 February 2018.
