Halloween in Limerick 2026 Funding Open Call: €130,000 Fund to Support Parades, Community and Festival Events

Limerick City and County Council is pleased to announce the opening of the Halloween in Limerick 2026 Funding Open Call, inviting tourism businesses, community groups, cultural organisations, and creatives to apply for funding across three dedicated strands aimed at delivering a vibrant and inclusive Halloween programme across the city and county. 

The funding call will open on Monday, 20th April 2026 at 09:00am and will close on Friday, 8th May 2026 at 17:00pm. A total fund of €130,000.00 has been allocated to support a diverse range of Halloween-themed initiatives from 11th October 2026 to 1st November 2026. 

Funding Strands 

Applicants are invited to apply under one of the following strands: 

  • Strand 1: Ireland, Home of Halloween 2026 Festival - Limerick 
    Total Fund: €60,000.00 
    Supporting large-scale, high-impact festival programming that enhances Limerick’s reputation as Ireland’s Home of Halloween, Events/Festivals should be tourism-driven and include saleable experiences and events. 
  • Strand 2: Halloween Parade / Procession 
    Total Fund: €50,000.00 
    Supporting the development and delivery of a flagship Halloween parade or procession experience. 
  • Strand 3: Community Group Halloween Events 
    Total Fund: €20,000.00 
    Supporting locally-driven, community-based Halloween events that encourage participation and creativity at a grassroots level.
