Limerick City and County Council and partners invite you to explore 10 days of tricks and treats with the Halloween in Limerick campaign set to enchant from this Friday 25 October to Sunday 03 November 2024.

Limerick.ie/Halloween has all the information you need on a spine-chilling array of events and activities. You’ll find a range of gigs from music to magic if you dare venture out After Dark. Keep the kids busy during the mid-term break with some Fangtastic Family Fun. There is also a list of Ghoulish Goings On for grown-ups to enjoy.

One of the highlights of this year’s festivities is the Lumen Street Theatre’s Fire and Shadows Parade on Saturday, 26 October.

This year Samhain: Limerick’s Hallowe'en Fire & Shadows Parade introduces the Spirits of the Forest along with the illustrious Bishop’s Lady, the ghostly tale from the Bard of Thomond. Roaming the city's alleyways, these wandering creatures reclaim their ancient pathways and habitats. Shadowed by a host of Absentee Landlords burdened with keys and tithes, the ghosts of the city’s past prowl the streets all the while seeking a bargain or a steal, eyeballing all manner of deals.

Gather at the Court House, Merchant’s Quay at 7 PM, with the procession starting at 7.30pm.

The parade is co-funded by Limerick City and County Council, Fáilte Ireland, the Night Time Economy Unit in the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and the Arts Council of Ireland.

Mayor of Limerick, John Moran is wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable Halloween, saying,

“Halloween is a time for creativity, community, and celebration, and Limerick is the perfect place to experience all the magic and excitement of this spooky season. Whether you’re dressing up in your favourite costume, trick-or-treating with family and friends, or enjoying one of the many events happening around our city and county, I encourage you to embrace the spirit of Halloween with joy and enthusiasm.”
