List of Concerts

Fiachra Garvey | 30 August at 8pm

Fiachra obtained his Dip Mus, BA and MA degrees from the Royal Academy of Music London and the RIAM Dublin. His concerto appearances include the Janáček Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Irish Chamber Orchestra, Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, UCD Symphony Orchestra, RIAM Symphony Orchestra and the Hibernian Orchestra

Dean Power | 27 September at 8pm

Irish tenor Dean Power is a former member of the ensemble at the Bayerische Staatsoper. After nine years as an ensemble member, 2020-21 was his final season as he now expands upon his already growing career as an international solo guest artist.

Miriam Kaczor and Ellen Jansson | 25 October at 8pm

Ellen Jansson — Piano. Hailed as “a major talent” after her Carnegie Hall debut with Prokofiev Third Piano Concerto, Irish pianist Ellen Jansson is quickly establishing herself as one of Ireland’s most versatile and exciting young musicians.

Miriam Kaczor is a Polish-born, Dublin-raised flautist. Curious about a variety of styles, she equally enjoys performing with early music ensembles, modern orchestras and contemporary groups as well as exploring lesser-known solo repertoire. She has appeared at numerous concert series at the National Concert Hall, chamber music festivals around Ireland, as well as in recordings with Irish Baroque Orchestra, Crash Ensemble, Vanbrugh Quartet and several RTÉ lyric FM broadcasts.

Marmen Quartet | 29 November at 8pm

The Marmen Quartet programme for this tour opens with one of Bartok’s greatest and most riveting masterpieces, its tightly symmetrical structure centred on a deeply atmospheric central movement. Ian Wilson’s slick and entertaining collage of famous Rossini themes is followed by Beethoven’s towering second Rasoumovsky quartet with, at its heart, a rapturous slow movement inspired by contemplation of the starry firmament.

Dr Pippa Little, Arts Officer with Limerick City and County Council said: “This year we are delighted to welcome back the full four concerts to Castleconnell in person, for our Castleconnell Autumn Concert Series. Always a magical evening, and a highlight of the classical music calendar, we are looking forward to showcasing these top Irish and international musicians, in the ambient and intimate setting of All Saints Church. Join us over these four nights, in the coming months, to experience a truly beautiful evening of music.”

Paul Fitzpatrick, the Dean’s Vicar at All Saints, Castleconnell said: “It is a privilege and a delight on behalf of the Congregation and Friends of All Saints Castleconnell, to host the forthcoming Autumn Series of Concerts. All Saints is a truly intimate and acoustically magical sacred space that lends itself to sheer excellence and quality. Instinctively, the iconic building breathes welcome and warmth.”
