Executive Scientist

Limerick City and county council invites applications from suitably qualified applicants for the permanent position of Executive Scientist.

Each candidate must, on the latest date for receipt of completed application forms;

  • hold a recognised degree for which Biochemistry, Chemistry, Geology, Biology, Zoology or Microbiology was taken as a subject or option in the final examination or an equivalent qualification
  • have satisfactory relevant technical training and experience,
  • have satisfactory administrative experience

Salary:

€46,732 to €65,000 per annum

Hours of Work:

37 hours per week

Annual Leave:

30 days per annum

Temporary Lifeguard

Limerick City and County Council is establishing a panel for the position of Temporary Lifeguard - Glin & Kilteery Piers for Summer 2017. 

Each candidate must , on the latest date for receipt of completed application forms;

  • hold a current Irish Water Safety Beach Lifeguard Award or an equivalent qualification as recognised by the International Lifesaving Federation (ILS)
  • be not less than 17 years of age on 22nd May 2017
  • have thorough knowledge of resuscitation including Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation

Other desirable qualifications: S-VHF Certificate, First Aid, ISA Powerboat Level 2 or higher, Manual Handling, Occupational Health & Safety Certificate

All candidates will be required to undergo a practical test in Basic Life Support (BLS) swimming ability, lifesaving techniques and a theory test conducted by an Examiner(s) nominated by Irish Water Safety.

Rate of pay: €419.74 per 37 hour week/ €252.40 per 22¼ hour week
