Ballylanders N.S. is a four teacher mixed school, situated in a small village in south Limerick. We enjoy the services of a learning support teacher, two resource teachers, two full time special needs assistants and secretary. We also have a cleaner and caretaker who keep both the inside and outside of the school in pristine condition.
Ballylanders N.S. is a community which endeavours to be a Catholic community where:
- Children are all cherished equally.
- Respect for one another and the dignity of every human being is fostered.
- Each child is treated as an individual.
- The spiritual, social, moral and intellectual welfare of the child is cared for.
- Fair play is promoted and practised.
- Children experience a safe and happy learning environment.
- Children are encouraged and affirmed.
- Staff, parents and children co-operate for the common good.
- Prayer is a feature of the school day.
- The catholic children are prepared for the reception of the sacrament of First Confession, First Holy Communion and Confirmation in according with arrangements in the Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly.
- The children are encouraged to participate in parish activities appropriate to their age.
Together we can make things happen.
