Digital Makers Hub: Audacity By Chris Quigley

Tuesday 6th October @ 5.45pm
  • Digital Makers Hub

These tutorials are designed to help people get familiar with the idea of working with sound, and how sound works and can be manipulated as much as the software we'll be using.

We'll be playing with loops, beats, effects and samples to try and re-create some classic sounds as well as learn to create something new. Chris is a musician and recording engineer based in Limerick. First starting recording bands and running DIY shows and events in his early 20's, Chris' love of music and sound lead him to co-founding musical collective DIYLK and Limerick festival Feile na Greine while also making records with bands like Casavettes, Post Punk Podge and girlfriend. When not lying on the ground playing with wires, he also plays in his own groups (Cruiser, The Personal Vanity Project).

Note: Those who have headphones are encouraged to bring them. This project is funded by creative Ireland and Limerick City and County Council Through the Creative Communities Programme 2026.
