A playful story and somatic wellbeing workshop for sensitive children aged 5–9 and their grown-ups.
Inspired by the children’s book SID and the Moonlight Path by Dagmar Bürger, this gentle and imaginative workshop is designed to help sensitive children explore their big feelings through storytelling, movement, play and age-appropriate somatic exercises.
Together, children and their grown-ups will step into SID’s magical world and discover that feelings even the big, uncomfortable ones don’t have to be frightening.
Through story, imagination and playful body-based exercises, children will explore how emotions can show up in their bodies and learn simple ways to feel calmer, safer and more grounded.
During the workshop, children will be encouraged to:
• Notice and name big feelings
• Recognise how emotions can feel in the body
• Learn simple calming and grounding tools
• Explore feelings through story, imagination and movement
• Build confidence in their sensitivity and inner world
• Discover that difficult feelings can be understood and allowed to pass
The workshop is designed as a warm shared experience for child and grown-up, with plenty of playfulness, imagination and connection along the way.
