For our second UCH Book Club gathering, we welcome Booker Prize-winning author John Banville in conversation with Professor Tina Morin about his atmospheric novel, Venetian Vespers.
Set in Venice at the close of the nineteenth century, Venetian Vespers is a haunting tale of mystery, deception and desire, as a newly married couple find themselves drawn into an increasingly unsettling world where nothing is quite as it seems. Tina Morin is Professor of English at the University of Limerick and an expert in Irish Gothic literature, making her the perfect companion to explore the darker themes, literary influences and haunting atmosphere of Banville’s novel.
Join John and Tina for an evening of books, ideas and conversation with plenty of opportunity for Book Club members to ask questions and join the discussion.
