Limerick City and County Council wish to advise motorists and road users that emergency demolition works will take place at Smyth's Lane, Cathedral Place, Limerick from Tuesday, 28th July 2026 until Friday, 31st July 2026 between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily.
Diversion routes will be in place via Cathedral Place, Summer Street and Brennan's Row for local access. Additional diversion routes will operate via Bedford Row, Summer Street and St. John's Square. Emergency services will have through access at all times. Outside the actual hours of demolition and site clearance works, Smyth's Lane will be reopened to traffic.
Limerick City and County Council regret any inconvenience caused and thank road users for their cooperation.
