Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 38 (3) of the Road Traffic Act 1994, as amended by the Public Transportation Regulation Act, 2009 (Section 46), Limerick City & County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to introduce the following road layout amendments on the L1161, in Murroe, Co. Limerick.
- Installation of new circa. 1.5 meter wide footpath from the pedestrian crossing to the entrance to Cois Na Coille and all associated works.
- Install new road markings etc.
- Upgrade of existing public lighting
The works will involve the construction and installation of a new 1.5 meter footpath on the L1161 from Murroe towards the Cross Of five Roads, road markings, upgrading of existing public lighting and associated works.
Drawings and particulars of the proposed project are available for inspection at Kilmallock Area Office, Railway Rd, Kilmallock, Co. Limerick (V35 K497) and may be inspected during normal office hours from Friday 10th July to Friday 21st August 2026 inclusive. They are also available for inspection online during the above timeframe at https://mypoint.limerick.ie
Submissions or observations regarding the proposal may be made in writing to the above office or online at https://mypoint.limerick.ie on or before 5pm, Friday 21st August 2026.
