Recreating Textiles From Early Ireland in Craggaunowen

Thursday 19th March @2.15pm
  • Wool Weavers

Presented by the resident weavers at Craggaunowen, Geraldine O’Sullivan and Annika Hammar. Step back in time and discover bone needles, carders, whorls, and spindles.

Annika and Geraldine, will present a sample of a Shag Mantle cloak. This type of hairy wool cloak is naturally rain repellent! Enjoy how a Sprang loom from Craggaunowen operates, and a Warp weighted loom.
