The HIT THE TOWN festival of orienteering will take place from the 21st to 22nd March 2026!
The festival will comprise of three events:
- Irish Open Sprint Orienteering Championships
- Two person sprint relay
- Open urban event
The sprint events involve fast-paced navigation around the beautiful University of Limerick campus, with lots of controls to visit.
The urban event in Limerick City on Sunday 22nd March is a family-friendly event and will be a unique way for participants of all ages and abilities to discover Merchant’s Quay and the Three Bridges area of Limerick City.
Whist experienced orienteers will choose a course based on their age, and must register before the deadline of 1st March, there will be a choice of courses for newcomers and families that they can register for on the day, for each of the events.
