Rainbows provides support for children and young people experiencing grief, loss and change following bereavement, parental separation, divorce.
Target Age: 5 -18 Years
The support is offered through group support – children and young people of similar ages and experiences meeting each other and realising they are not the only one or the only family.
The service is free .The service is available nationally – mainly from September to June.
Rainbows provides group support for children and young people of a similar age who have experienced a bereavement or family change following parental separation or divorce.
Children and young people attend a nine week bereavement programme or a nine week separation programme. Rainbows provides a safe space to meet others in a similar situation and be supported to begin to cope and adapt to what has happened.
