Limerick City and County Council have today launched the final phase of the Affordable Home Purchase Scheme at Brú na Gruadán, Castletroy, Co Limerick.
The Affordable Home Purchase Scheme helps people on moderate incomes to buy new homes at reduced prices. The scheme is open to First Time Buyers and Fresh Start applicants only. It is aimed at households who cannot afford a home at its open market value using their combined deposit and their approved maximum mortgage.
Limerick City and County Council are offering those, who fit the eligibility criteria, to purchase one of twelve 3-bedroom large and beautifully designed duplex homes in one of Limerick’s most sought-after locations.
Homes at a Glance:
- Location: Brú na Gruadán, Castletroy
- Homes Available: Twelve x 3-bedroom duplex homes
- Size: 118.6m²—124.8m² - some 24m² - 27m² over the minimum floor area for a standard 3-bedroom home

- Spacious Accommodation: Kitchen with Utility Room, Entry level WC, Separate Living Room, 3 Bedrooms, Large Bathroom and plenty of storage throughout

*To be eligible to apply to the scheme, applicants must satisfy a number of criteria.
There is also a dedicated Mortgage broker available for the scheme who will provide applicants with assistance in seeking Mortgage Approval in Principle.
Through this affordable housing scheme, Limerick City and County Council will take a percentage equity share (share of the ownership) in the home.
The closing date for receipt of applications from eligible candidates is 12pm on 13th September 2024
Candidates who submit a full application with supporting documentation will be assessed to ensure they meet the eligibility requirements.
