County Limerick Youth Theatre (CoLYT) presents Variations by Katie Hims as part of The National Theatre Connections Festival 2022. NT Connections presents youth theatres from across Britain and Ireland with the opportunity to perform newly commissioned plays written specifically for people their age.

County Limerick Youth Theatre (CoLYT) will be performing their National Theatre Connections 2022 production of Variations in Friar’s Gate Theatre, Kilmallock on Sunday 3rd April (6pm & 8pm) and Monday 4th April (8pm).

This is the first year that CoLYT has taken part in NT Connections, in fact this is the first year that a company from Munster has taken part. Fifteen young artists aged 14 to 19 from across County Limerick will perform Katie Hims beautiful, frenetic, hilarious play in Friar’s Gate Theatre, Kilmallock. CoLYT will then transfer the play to The Lyric, Belfast at the end of April.

"Alice wishes her life was completely different. She wakes up one morning to find that her life is different. In fact, it's so different that all she wants to do is get back to normality. But how does she do that? A comedy about family, string theory and breakfast.”

Tickets are €10/€5 (students). For more information about booking contact Friars Gate Theatre, phone 063 98727 or email friarsgatetheathre@gmail.com. Supported by the Limerick Arts Office & Youth Theatre Ireland.
