Newcastle West for Kids

The Demesne is a great place to kick off a day of activity for kids, grab a ball and enjoy a kick about on many of the luscious green fields along the route. Kids will love the freedom of the safe wooded paths while running from one exercise station to the next to try each one out!

On the short walk from the Demesne to the centre of town why not stop along the way at the skate park or gated playground to burn off more youthful energy and give the recently installed zipline a whirl!

Food will be the order of the day after a fun packed morning and the town centre has lots of restaurants or cafe's to choose from so that kids can refuel with a sticky bun or even a healthier option to keep them going for the rest of the afternoon.

When all the tummies are full why not head to the public library to fill the heads with it’s extensive kids section. Or if they are after more action a dip in the pool at Killeline Leisure Centre or a pedal along the Limerick Greenway are great options. (For bike hire information, click here).
