Dysert Aenghusa also known as Dísert Óengusa is a medieval hermitage and round tower located near Croom
Believed to have been founded in 780 by Óengus of Tallaght, this monastery is mentioned in the annals for 1033. The round tower, which stands 20.65 metres, was constructed in the 12th century, while the present church dates from the 15th century.
