Frontline Stage School

  • Frontline Stage School 810 x 456

Frontline is aimed at children who want to develop their performing skills but the curriculum also aims to develop confidence, teamwork and responsibility - giving the children ownership of their work.

There are two terms in the year. Term one develops the core components of the performing arts DANCE - DRAMA - SINGING which culminates in an Annual Showcase open to family and friends.

Term two gives the children an opportunity to explore other areas of the performance world. These include MASK WORK - CD RECORDING - SONG PRESENTATION - MAKE UP - SPECIAL EFFECTS and PUPPETRY workshops which are led by our regular staff and visiting tutors.

Founded in 1984 by Gerdi McGlynn, the stage school has gone from strength to strength and now has schools in Castletroy, Caherdavin and Mungret.

The school is now co-run by Gerdi and her daughter Jean McGlynn who trained and worked professionally in London's West-End and throughout the UK and Ireland.

Frontline Stage School owes its success to keeping the schools community based and affordable without compromising on the level of tuition and opportunity received by the students. Staff are all qualified and very experienced in their fields.
