New Video Captures the Magic of Christmas in Limerick 2025

As 2026 draws near, Limerick City and County Council is taking a moment to look back on what has been a truly memorable festive season with the release of a lively, colourful new video celebrating Christmas in Limerick 2025.

The video captures the atmosphere, energy and warmth of the Together for Christmas in Limerick theme, which transformed the city and county into a vibrant festive destination, welcoming people from near and far to enjoy a wide range of seasonal experiences.

Showcasing some of the highlights from across the campaign, the video features:

  • The spectacular Light Up Limerick Procession, led by LUXe Theatre Company, which filled the city with illuminated performances and officially switched on Limerick City’s Christmas lights 
  • Fossett’s Christmas Circus, delighting audiences with thrilling performances and festive spectacle – last shows on January 4th 
  • Street entertainers, bringing colour, creativity and surprise to Limerick’s streets 
  • Toots the Christmas Train, a firm family favourite throughout the season - hop on board until January 4th
  • Limerick on Ice at Arthur’s Quay Park, where skaters of all ages are enjoying a much-loved Christmas tradition - open until January 4th

Last Days of Christmas

Three spectacular pantos are lighting up stages across the city, inviting families to share laughter, wonder and holiday fun. Whether stepping into the enchanting world of Cinderella, joining the adventure of Red Riding Hood, or enjoying the hilarious antics of Aladdin, audiences can look forward to dazzling costumes, catchy musical numbers and unforgettable family entertainment.

Ring in 2026 with a New Year’s Day to remember at the Limerick Classic Clubs Sober New Year’s Day Rave, a warehouse party offering high energy music in a vibrant, alcohol-free setting.

Round out the festive period as Christmas at Barnagh marks Women’s Little Christmas on January 6th with a relaxing and indulgent Afternoon Tea at Barnagh Greenway Hub, the perfect way to celebrate friendship, community and the final moments of the season.
