Lunchtime Lecture - A Room With a View presented by John Elliott.

This illustrated lecture, ‘A Room With a View‘, will examine the crucial period in the city’s development as the medieval town spread beyond its venerable walls and evolved into the planned Georgian city of Newtown Pery.

The Captains Room in the former Custom House, that now the home the Hunt Collection has panoramic views of the Shannon and Abbey Rivers.

The room has witnessed over 250 years of Limerick’s history. John Elliott is an archaeologist and historian specialising in the development of late medieval and early modern Limerick.

This Lunchtime Lecture is hosted by the Friends of the Hunt Museum.
