Henmur Theatre Productions, the exciting new theatre company founded by Michelle Hennessy and Brian Murray, is delighted to announce its very first live stage production.

Born from a shared passion for storytelling and original work, Henmur Theatre Productions has already made its mark with two successful radio plays, Still Listening and Burying a Ghost. Now, the company is taking the next exciting step onto the stage. Michelle Hennessy, a Kildorrery resident, is no stranger to the local amateur dramatic scene, having performed with both the Ballindangan Players and Kildorrery Drama Group. Her experience and passion for theatre have helped shape the vision of Henmur Theatre Productions from its inception.

Co-founder Brian Murray, a Charleville native, is a highly accomplished musician who is a familiar face in bars, theatres and music venues throughout County Cork and beyond. His creativity, musical expertise and love of performance bring a unique dimension to the company’s production.

  • Lisdoonvarna is a heartfelt one-act play about two strangers who meet by chance in Ireland’s matchmaking capital. Amid music, dancing, laughter and heartbreak, they discover that love can appear when least expected.
  • Bringing Home the Bacon is a new witty one-act play where two frenemies, armed with parma ham, olives and notions of grandeur, discover that life isn’t always as it seems.
  • The Last Rebel is a thought-provoking piece about conflicts being set aside-generations overlapping and discovering that our beliefs are not quite as different as we thought.
