Limerick City and County Council is the key local delivery partner under Ireland’s Host Nation Contract for Ryder Cup 2027 at Adare Manor.
Working closely with the Department of Sport, Transport, Emergency Services and Ryder Cup Europe, the Council’s role encompasses planning and upgrading critical infrastructure - from road improvements and the delivery of the Adare bypass (due June 2027) to Park & Ride sites, VMS signage, traffic and mobility plans, emergency services coordination, and securing all necessary licences, consents and ancillary venues.

The Ryder Cup is a biennial golf competition between teams from Europe and the United States with each side alternating hosting duties.
