Ireland’s superb golf offering – including Adare Manor, Ballyneety and Limerick Golf Clubs – to be highlighted to millions of golfers across the United States, Great Britain and Mainland Europe.
With just one year to go until the Ryder Cup comes to Adare Manor, leading overseas golf journalists have been competing in a friendly Ryder Cup-style competition, called the ‘Writers’ Cup’, this week. The journalists – who have a combined audience of millions of readers and followers – are visiting as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.
Eight US journalists have been going head to head with a team of eight journalists from Britain, Germany, France, Switzerland and Finland, testing their skills on some of our great courses, including Adare Manor and Ballyneety Golf Club, which will host the Ryder Cup and the Junior Ryder Cup respectively next year. The itinerary also included Limerick Golf Club, The Hawthorn by Galway Bay and Lahinch Golf Club, the host venue for the recent Walker Cup.
