Children from the Abbeyfeale community were among the first to enjoy the newly upgraded and more inclusive playground at Abbeyfeale Town Park following its official opening by Mayor of Limerick, John Moran and Cathaoirleach of the Newcastle West Municipal District Cllr Liam Galvin, in the presence of Minster Niall Collins TD, members of the Newcastle West Municipal District, representatives of Abbeyfeale Community Leisure CLG, Abbeyfeale Community Council and officials from Limerick City and County Council
Funded through the Community Recognition Fund and the Newcastle West Municipal District General Municipal Allocation, the project delivers a range of new accessible play features as part of Limerick City and County Council's commitment to creating inclusive playgrounds for children of all ages and abilities.
