Guided Tour of Lough Gur's Monuments

Saturday 18th July @ 12pm
  • Lough Gur

A bus tour of Lough Gur's most important ancient and historical sites.

Lough Gur is an incredibly important ancient landscape. Scattered around her shores are a variety of monuments spanning thousands of years. Many of these hold their secrets fast, and the sheer number of sites can nearly become overwhelming.

This tour will allow guests to see a variety of monuments from the Neolithic period to the Medieval period. This includes the Grange Stone Circle, the largest of its kind in the country.

The tour begins and ends at Lough Gur Lakeshore Park, which means visitors can focus entirely on the history and archaeology in front of them without worrying about parking, narrow roads, or accessibility.
