A talk focusing on Wedge tombs and their astronomical implications by Archeoastronomer Frank Prendergast.

Dr Frank Predergast is an archaeoastronomer who has spent many years exploring Lough Gur's ancient monuments. His knowledge of Lough Gur and its prehistoric links to the movement of the celestial bodies above us is unparalleled. There was formerly many wedge tombs around the lake and most will be very familiar with the tomb called the Giant's Grave on its southern shore. This talk will look at these monuments specifically and their ancient alignments.
