From early Spring the river banks are awash with blossoms of spring flowers.
During March, young people from Dóchas Midwest Autism Support visited the banks of the River Deel in Askeaton with artists Anne Cleary and Denis Connolly. Together they gathered and press dried samples of these gorgeous blossoms and since then the Dóchas team have been making home-made paper art integrating these lovely samples of biodiversity.
Join Dóchas Midwest Autism Support, artists Anne and Denis, and Askeaton Comtemporary Arts on Saturday June 6th 2026 to view this lovely art work, enjoy a light and sound installation, and take part in creative workshops to learn about, and make art from Irish Spring Flowers that grow along the banks of the River Deel.
