Farmers across the Ballyhoura region are being invited to attend a free informative talk this April aimed at helping them plan for the future of their farms with confidence.
This engaging morning session is open to full-time and part-time farmers, as well as those considering collaborative arrangements with family members or neighbouring farmers. As farming continues to evolve, this event will provide practical guidance to support better decision-making around farm structures, financial planning, and long-term sustainability. The session will explore collaborative farming models, including partnerships, share farming, contract rearing and more, along with practical tax planning for farmers, helping attendees better understand their options both now and into the future.
Attendees will hear from experienced guest speakers Joseph Collins, Agricultural Advisor with FDC Group, and Tim Ryan, Partner and Tax Specialist with IFAC. Both speakers bring a wealth of knowledge and will share practical, real-world insights relevant to today’s farming environment.
The Farm Forward Project forms part of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) initiative, co-funded by the European Commission and the Irish Government under the CAP Strategic Plan 2023–2027. The programme supports farmers in adopting innovative approaches to strengthen sustainability, improve succession planning, and build long-term resilience.
