Gráinne is the bestselling author of ‘A Limerick Fairytale’ published by The O’Brien Press in 2023, and ‘Solo’, published by Little Island in April 2025.

Solo won the Best Teen and Young Adult Novel at the An Post Book Awards 2025 and was nominated for Book of the Year. Solo has also been nominated for The Carnegie Award, shortlisted for The Books Are My Bag Award, and was named one of Kirkus Reviews best books of 2025. In 2025, she was the literature applicant awarded W.J.B. McCauley Award from the Arts Council of Ireland. The bursary award supports an emerging artist of significant potential to pursue their arts practice. She completed an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Limerick in 2018 and received an Irish Arts Council Agility Award in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Originally from County Clare, Gráinne is now based in Limerick City with her husband and two cats. Alongside her writing career, she the head buyer at Kennys Bookshop and Art Gallery in Galway, one of Ireland’s most established and respected bookshops.
