The annual Kids Fun Run invites families and young athletes to enjoy a day filled with joy, laughter, and energetic running in the heart of Limerick.
Taking place on the beautiful grounds of the University of Limerick, this event is designed to encourage healthy habits, outdoor activity, and joyful participation in a safe and supportive environment.
The Kids Fun Run is kindly supported by Limerick City & County Council.

Date: Saturday, May 2nd, 2026
Location: University of Limerick, Athletics Track and Campus
Entry Fee: €15 (includes event t-shirt & finisher medal)
Wave Starts:
- 2.30pm – Wheelchair Event (on track)
- 3.00pm – Junior & Senior Infants – 1KM route
- 3.45pm – First, Second & Third Class – 1.5KM route
- 4.30pm – Fourth, Fifth & Sixth Class – 2KM route
